So you put the new component on and it becomes alive because it's electrically connected to everything else and it can see around and suddenly the house knows if you put the thing in the right place. So you put the new piece on and the house goes beep beep beep it doesn't belong there. You're like, "Oh darn it's backwards." Put it on it goes beep it knows you did it right. So if you made all the components alive the house would help you assemble itself and it would always watch. You'd be watching for any defects and it would warn you every time.
